As we age, we believe crying is a waste of time, and nothing else. However, once in a while those hot tears that roll from our eyes may make us feel that we are weak. But well, do not stop yourself, as crying is not a sign of weakness but in fact, it has many benefits.

If you wonder where tears can all of a sudden erupt from, they come out of tear glands, or lacrimal glands. These glands are found under your upper eyelids. There are three different types of tears. Psychic tears are produced when you experience extreme emotions. Basal tears are for the lubrication of the cornea. Reflex tears appear when the eye is exposed to something unsuitable such as onions. The straightforward act of crying decreases the body’s manganese level, a mineral which influences temperament and is found in prominent concentrations in tears.

The phrase that “Boys do not cry”, can often make men feel ashamed when they seem vulnerable. Let’s change the mindset, and let’s believe in breaking out into a few tears when the day feels absolutely overwhelming.
